How to Book a Holiday on Merry

Making a Booking

1. Your first move is to decide when you want to travel and check the current hire rates. This document confirms what’s included, discounts available and possible extras.

2. Then download the Booking Form and our Conditions of Hire in PDF format.

3. To make sure that Merry is free for your holiday, simply call 01684 299782 or email carol@merryboat.co.uk.  If your chosen dates are available, we’ll hold your provisional booking for a week.  Discounts on repeated bookings and multiple weeks will be agreed at this stage.

4. Celebrate that your holiday is nearly sorted by completing the Booking Form.  Once we have received your completed, signed Booking Form and holiday Deposit cheque, we will then send you an acknowledgement to confirm your booking and your canal map.

5. The final stage is to make your final payment by cheque two months before your holiday starts (including the Damage Waiver). Then sit back and consult the map page to see where you want to go to.

Hire rates - What you get

Our policy is to keep things simple with inclusive rates for daytrips, weekly hire and short breaks. On a mid-week break of Monday-Friday you get an extra night free compared with a weekend short break of Friday to Monday. Discounts are available for longer bookings and for repeat bookings.

The holiday price includes all boat fuel, towels and bed linen.  Basically, you only need to bring clothing, food and drink.  Click here to download a PDF document containing Hire Rates and full details.
