We use Merry as our bolt-hole in Derbyshire so we
have made sure that everything we want is on board. Enjoy the
central heating, a hot shower, flushing toilet and cosy beds. A CD
player, fridge with freezer box, gas oven and all the cutlery,
crockery and kitchen equipment you’ll need. Even 3-pin plugs so
definitely more like home than like camping!

The layout reflects our
experience of narrowboats:

a bow bedroom that is great
for breakfast in bed as the sun streams through
the doors, or to sit in comfort, watching out as
you cruise along

a shower room that’s
effectively en-suite for both bedrooms

a dinette that’s integral
with the galley for ease of use
-
a stern galley making it easy
to take tea (or beers!) to the person steering
at the helm

and loads of storage space to
contain all your stuff.

We accept that there is limited
space on deck because we opted for maximum space
inside. However, there is space at the stern for
four people to sit and chat – as well as steer – and
camping stools provide 2 seats at the bow for a
different view, or for real peace and quiet! |
